About the lecture

Bicycle Urbanism – transport for the cities of today and the future

Morten Kabell’s presentation will deal with the streets as the focus point. How the streets for thousands of years were the democratic center of the cities, until they were highjacked by the cars. Once again, they can return to being for the many. Copenhagen has set the example on how a city can make the bicycle the main mode of transport in a modern city. The solutions of the best bicycle city in the world can be taken to cities all over the world. Morten Kabell presents bicycle urbanism by design as the key part of making our cities liveable, life-sized and people-friendly: the truly smart solution for a city.
